About us

We are a Southern California based Design Firm specializing in Branding, Graphics, Illustration and Mural Design. As a couple with backgrounds in Business Marketing and Graphic Design, Julia and Juan create compositions with attention to detail, focused on effectively communicating with the target audience for your business.

Inspired by growing up in the culture of Los Angeles, Juan and Julia translated their love for street art, painting, fashion, and typography into dedication for creating contemporary designs.

Julia attended Purdue University graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a Focus in Marketing.

Juan studied at the Los Angeles City College where he obtained an Associates of Arts Degree in Graphic Arts. He then accomplished his Bachelors of Science in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Los Angeles.

With their combined expertise in business and design, Julia and Juan founded Firme Designs Co. to create innovative compositions for every business.

"I have always loved being creative in many different mediums. I started out drawing comics, fashion designs, and sewing clothes for my dolls as a kid. Eventually I picked up illustration and painting and fell in love with making portraits and surrealism artwork. In 2013 I achieved my professional makeup artistry certification and began working as a MUA painting faces for photoshoots and LA Fashion Week. My love for fashion, design, and business combined motivated me to get my Bachelors degree in marketing so that I could start my own business and design for companies while continuing to paint on walls, canvases, and faces. Luckily, I have the best partner to collaborate with. Here are a few of my artworks:"

"As a young boy I loved to draw and recreate images that I found in different magazines, particularly animals and people. When I graduated high school my art teacher encouraged me to pursue a career in Graphic Design because she saw that I had an eye for composition, color, and typography. At the Los Angeles City College I was inspired by the street art culture and murals throughout the city. I began to create my own murals and refined my portfolio as I continued my degree at the Art Institute of Los Angeles. When I met Julia, I realized how well our art styles complimented each other and we started collaborating on artwork together. Here are a few of my artworks:"
